Blossoms of Ocean & Earth
This installation was presented from sunrise to sunset as part of the Ephemera Exhibition of Sculptures installed for one day on Avoca Beach as part of the 5 Lands Coastal Walk in 2023. The project concept is about making a mark on the map. It's about declaring our place here & now. Mirrors are set up in wave form to declare an "x marks the spot" on this part of the Coast. Unique & brightly coloured ceramic forms depict flourishing life forms from the land & sea. The installation is enclosed by a circle of raked sand representing a commitment of protection & care for this place in this vast landscape. The light bounces off the ocean & the mirrors throughout the day. The beach is traversed by the footprints of 10,000 visitors walking by. The 5 Lands Coastal walk is held annually on the Winter Solstice as a celebration of Connection of People to Place.

Lines of Inspiration
Installation of group show developed 30 artists over 2 years. The concept was to show how an artist responds to a presented form to develop new work. A line of development of form & narrative. Each artist working only from an image of the prior piece. The line started with inspiration from a small rounded pot raku fired with blue green flourish of glasses.

Botanical Fragrance Bottles
This series of Botanical Fragrance Bottles was made during Covid lockdowns. I spent many joyful hours studying the exquisite structures of flowers encountered during walks in my garden & making miniature bottles with enlarged portraits of fragile blossoms. One of the daily joys was discovering the fragrance of tiny blossoms emerging from the bush. The series was exhibited in the 2023 Connections exhibition as part of the 5 lands Coastal Walk community celebrations. It is a group show of 100+ artists joining together to share delights of our part of the Coast with 10,000+ visitors. Funds raised support the local surf lifesaving club.
